$1500 To Win For Modifieds At Ocala |

ZUBER. FL- The Open
Wheel Modified Division at Ocala Speedway has suffered from a lack of track time
so far in 2009. Weather and the schedule have conspired to limit their action,
but some measure of compensation can be found in a $1500 first place cash carrot
dangling in front of modified racers from Ocala Speedway owner, Mike
Peters
This Friday, April 24th, marks the $1500 to win Spring Sizzler
event for the Open Wheel Mods at Ocala. The race marks the first "big money"
event for the division in 2009, and modified racers are lining up with their
intentions go for the cash. The net result should a big race with a full field,
and plenty of exciting and competitive action for the fans.
Joining the
modifieds this Friday will be the Amsoil V8 Thunder Stocks, the division that
has been thrilling the fans with multiple winners and fender banging action for
the second season in a row. The Mini Stocks will also be on track after a week
off, and the Gladiators will be back for another round of
competition.
Racers are reminded that the pit gate will be open at 2 PM,
and fans can come early for the best seats as the grandstand gate will open at 5
PM. Racing will begin at 8PM.
And fans are reminded that this will be
the last Friday of regular racing at Ocala before the Monster Jam Summer Tour
invades beautiful downtown Zuber on the first weekend in May. Gravedigger will
return for third consecutive visit to Ocala Speedway, and for the first time
ever Ocala Speedway will welcome Tom Ments and Maximum Destruction. Tickets for
Monster Jam are on sale now through Ocala Speedway or TicketMaster.
